Hm, right. There's really no judging a book by its cover.
That makes sense. It should also give her time to get used to the idea of being a Precure. That's not a luxury many of us get - we usually get our powers in the heat of the moment.
Defensive powers... Interesting. Currently Cure Blossom and Cure Marine are too offense focused, so that will definitely come in handy. They might actually stand a chance.
Strong ones at least. Seems like with her knowledge of fighting it will balance her out. I have to say, I'm envious. I don't have strong defensive capabilities.
I had one attack that could reflect enemy attacks, but then, I had years to develop my attacks. A Precure focused on defense... I imagine it will be amazing.
With Itsuki helping them, they'll become a lot stronger, I think. They might even become strong enough to acquire the Heartcatch Mirage.
Yes. I'm not sure about its exact powers, but it was thanks to its power that Cure Flower managed to seal away the king of the Desert Apostles fifty years ago.
It's not a matter of simply taking it, though. First the Precure involved will have to pass a trial.
Well, that's how it goes with these ancient traditions. The Heartcatch Mirage is not an item to be used lightly. I imagine that whomever decided on the trial wanted to make sure it didn't end up with those too inexperienced to handle it.
Though I don't actually know what kind of trial it is. I never made it that far, myself.
Riders earn their Super Level powers normally. Through some kind of ability or new item granted to them. Some rarely, like Hibiki, train for their Super Level abilities.
I'm not sure how the other Precure receive their higher level powers. [Because Yuri figures it's safe to assume that they did get super special final powers.] From what I've heard so far, the Precure who protect the Heart Tree are a more long standing tradition than is the case with other teams. I doubt they have any types of trials like the one required for the Mirage.

Exactly. When I started out, I got guidance from Cure Flower. Now Tsubomi is as well. Of course, she has the added bonus of Cure Flower being her grandmother.
It's a tradition that goes back... around four hundred years, I believe.
I don't think it's very common. I've never heard of any other Precure that were related. I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence, or if there's something special about the Hanasaki family.
There's usually a lot of time between appearances of new Precure. After Cure Flower, it took 47 years for a new Precure to appear.
The Desert Apostles weren't active either. It makes sense, since their king was defeated, but three years ago they started attacking again, led by Sabaku. I'm not sure where he came from, or why it took so long for them to attack again.
I have no idea where the Desert Apostles even got this guy. Dark Precure, too. According to Cure Flower, there's never been enemies like that before. [Yuri, you really don't want to know.]
I just wish it was a new era in a more positive way.
I know it doesn't make much sense, but I feel somehow responsible for Dark Precure's presence. She seems to only be interested in me. I get the feeling Blossom and Marine wouldn't have to deal with her if not for me.

It should, yes. And probably give her an idea of how to use her powers. I recall hearing that Potpourri's Precure would have strong defensive powers.

That explains something. You've got a lot to talk about then with the old and new generations on how to do things, and guide others if you wanted to.

Quite a long time, really. The first Rider appeared in 1974.

Interesting. That's more than enough time for people to cycle through as Precure but it took that long...

She said some really weird stuff that time at the station. She might just be crazy, for all I know.

Last time we met she said something like, "It's because you're me", but I have no clue what that's supposed to mean.
