It was a pleasant enough day in Kibogahana, like usual. Not that Yuri was paying too much attention to that, she had other things to worry about.

Like the fact that she and Kaitou were finally (finally, finally) going to go on that date they had planned. She was starting to think it would never happen at this rate, honestly, but somehow Kaitou had actually managed to stay alive long enough for it to happen. Clearly some kind of miracle was at work here.

If Yuri was nervous, though, she wasn't showing it. She was sitting on a bench, reading a book while she waited, appearing perfectly calm and composed. The only movements she made were the occasional turning of a page, or adjustment of her glasses.

About the only thing out of the ordinary was that, for once, she was wearing something other than her school uniform. Even she knew that wearing her uniform for a date would be a little weird. Thank goodness she had plenty of clothes to choose from - mostly thanks to Momoka.

Now all that was needed was for Kaitou to get there.

It wasn't like he was making an effort, but Kaitou had decided to go with something a little more trendy than his usual affair. Dressed in a draped shirt and pants, he appeared in a wave of reality.

"Hey. Ready to go?"

Well gosh, it's not like she's making an effort either, you know. She just didn't want to look weird. Could you imagine if she'd actually worried about what she had to wear to this? Hahaha... that... would have been silly...

Yuri looked up when she heard Kaitou's voice and smiled when she saw him. Just a small smile, mind you. "Of course. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't all set." She snapped her book shut and put it away, then stood up. "So, where will we be going?"

Well she's got Momoka to dress her. It was obvious that Yuri would look better.

"Well I was thinking of a trendy cafe in W's world. There's a place there that is run by a stage magician and his daughter."

True enough. She's lucky she has so many friends that know about fashion.

"That sounds like it should be fun." It honestly did. It's not that she expected anything strange or bad from Kaitou (more like she didn't know what to expect at all), but she was still pleasantly surprised by that idea. "I'm ready when you are."

"All right."

The curtain passed over the pair, bringing them to W's world as he gestured at the cafe that stood there. "Let's go in then. I'm sure you'll enjoy it."

Yuri blinked slightly as they changed worlds, but she recovered quickly. She wasn't sure if she would ever get used to that.

"I certainly hope so. Having fun is the goal here, after all." She smiled teasingly at Kaitou, then walked to the cafe. "I don't think that will be a problem, though."

"It's a nice cafe, and it's run by good people. I don't know them much but they have a good reputation here in W's world." Opening the door, he held it open for her. Seems like Kaitou has some nice points to him.

"It does sound very nice." Yuri paused for a moment as Kaitou held the door open, then smiled at him as she walked through it. "My, my. You know, when I first talked to you months ago, I never would have expected you to be the gentleman type."

To be fair, she hadn't expected him to be the boyfriend type either. Or the anything-except-a-punching-bag type.

"Things change, perspectives change, that sort of thing." He had a casual smile on his face, the most genuine of expressions for a long time as he followed her inside.

The inside of the building was a two-level thing, a lower wider level and a raised bar area. "Where did you want to sit today?"

"True. I'm glad first impressions aren't always right, in any case." Yuri definitely noticed that smile and her own became just a little brighter when she saw it. Though she quickly hid that by looking away, pretending it was just to look around.

"Let's see... How about down there?" She motioned to the lower level.

"That sounds like a good idea." He stepped over and pulled out her chair for Yuri before taking his own seat. "Looks like it's quiet right now."

Yuri sat down and looked around some more. "Yes, it is. It really is a nice place, too. Have you been here before?" It was hard for her to picture Kaitou doing... well, anything normal, really. Not that that was a bad thing.

"I rarely do this sort of thing, but I know of it by reputation." Mostly because Fuuto was also a Rider City after all, and it was something that he was familiar with. "The owner is a famous magician."

"Hm, that's a pretty interesting combination. When I think of magicians, I don't really think of a cafe." She paused for a moment, before smiling again as something occurred to her. "Although that's probably a silly thing for me to note as 'interesting', considering."

"Not at all. It's actually quite like you." Passing her a menu, Kaitou started to go through it. "The tea and coffee here is really good."

Yuri chuckled a little at that comment. "I do hope that's a good thing." She took a look at the menu. "Hm... As predictable as it is, I think I'll go with tea."

"I'll go with coffee then." Placing his order, Kaitou added, "And a dessert too. Strawberry cake."
